Another beautiful day, but still on the cool side. This afternoon’s walk was to the Tsawwassen ferry causeway. One winter migrant from the high arctic that can usually be seen here each year,

… is the Snow Bunting. There have been four seen of late, but three were busy again in the area of the boat ramp.

These Snow Buntings were being quite cooperative,

… and not overly concerned with the handful of observers and photographers.

They provided great opportunities for both portrait,

… and behaviour shots while feeding. To finish things off,

… a nice reflection shot when one Snow Bunting ventured into to a puddle for a drink.
