A bird generating a fair bit of interest the last couple of days has been a Golden Eagle that was located in the Boundary Bay area. Not having seen or photographed one in a few years, I made my way out there this afternoon. There were several birders and photographers present when I arrived on 72 Street.
I managed a couple of flight shots of this juvenile Golden Eagle,
… but a decent roosting shot was not going to happen.
Its favourite snag was just too far away and this shot is substantial crop. None the less, it was great to see one again and manage a few shots.
