{"id":5188,"date":"2018-09-02T21:41:55","date_gmt":"2018-09-03T04:41:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/crazym.ca\/?p=5188"},"modified":"2018-09-02T21:41:55","modified_gmt":"2018-09-03T04:41:55","slug":"green-heron","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/crazym.ca\/?p=5188","title":{"rendered":"Green Heron"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was a pleasant afternoon and a larger crowd than expected when I arrived at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reifelbirdsanctuary.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reifel<\/a> to help out this afternoon. I started off checking the outer ponds for shorebirds, but found nothing out of the ordinary.<\/p>\n<p>While checking the east dyke trail my attention was drawn to the slough on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/environment-climate-change\/services\/national-wildlife-areas\/locations\/alaksen.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alaksen National Wildlife Area<\/a> (north) side by a call. After watching the waters edge for a short while I finally got a brief glimpse of a Northern Waterthrush.
