While it had settled down somewhat by the time I headed out to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reifelbirdsanctuary.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reifel<\/a> this afternoon, there was still a cool breeze. With a smaller crowd than normal for a Sunday, it was fairly quiet as I headed out the east dyke.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5022\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5022\" style=\"width: 480px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"480\" height=\"600\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5022\" alt=\"Brown Creeper\" src=\"https:\/\/crazym.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/BRCR028.jpg\" srcset=\"https:\/\/crazym.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/BRCR028.jpg 480w, https:\/\/crazym.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/BRCR028-120x150.jpg 120w, https:\/\/crazym.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/BRCR028-240x300.jpg 240w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 85vw, 480px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5022\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Brown Creeper<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This Brown Creeper was busy foraging moving from tree to another. There were also some Ruby-crowned Kinglets, but none that were going to cooperate for photos. On reaching the northeast corner,<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5023\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5023\" style=\"width: 480px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"480\" height=\"600\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5023\" alt=\"Great Horned Owl\" src=\"https:\/\/crazym.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/GHOW073.jpg\" srcset=\"https:\/\/crazym.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/GHOW073.jpg 480w, https:\/\/crazym.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/GHOW073-120x150.jpg 120w, https:\/\/crazym.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/GHOW073-240x300.jpg 240w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 85vw, 480px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5023\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Great Horned Owl<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&#8230; I was pleasantly surprised to find one of the Great Horned Owls roosting in a branch a little lower than it has been of late.
