While walking west along the beach there was no action close to the dyke in the tidal pools. Once near the pylons I could see some movement further out on the sand. On getting a little closer it turned out to be a small group of Semipalmated Plovers. While walking back towards the dyke with a couple of other birders,<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3838\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3838\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3838\" src=\"http:\/\/crazym.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/SESA028.jpg\" alt=\"Semipalmated &amp; Baird's Sandpiper\" width=\"600\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/crazym.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/SESA028.jpg 600w, https:\/\/crazym.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/SESA028-150x120.jpg 150w, https:\/\/crazym.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/SESA028-300x240.jpg 300w, https:\/\/crazym.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/SESA028-375x300.jpg 375w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3838\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Semipalmated &amp; Baird&#8217;s Sandpiper<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&#8230; a small group of Baird&#8217;s Sandpiper flew in and amongst them was a Semiplamated Sandpiper. The other birders had been watching the Black-bellied Plover flock and sighted Red Knot, Hudsonian Godwit and Bar-tailed Godwit.
