Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary\" href=\"http:\/\/www.reifelbirdsanctuary.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Reifel<\/a>. The skies were a little overcast at first, but there were still a good number of visitors. While still on the cool side, there were definite signs of spring in the air with the Marsh &amp; Bewicks Wrens singing, Swallows flying overhead and even a Bushtit nest under construction. The American Bittern was still showing along the outside dyke, although a little more hidden when I saw it. Back along the east dyke trail,<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3057\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3057\" style=\"width: 398px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3057\" alt=\"Brown Creeper\" src=\"http:\/\/crazym.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/BRCR012.jpg\" width=\"398\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/crazym.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/BRCR012.jpg 398w, https:\/\/crazym.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/BRCR012-99x150.jpg 99w, https:\/\/crazym.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/BRCR012-199x300.jpg 199w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 398px) 85vw, 398px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3057\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Brown Creeper<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&#8230; I managed this shot of a Brown Creeper as it foraged along the tree line. But, once again, the highlight of the afternoon for most visitors was a Northern Saw-whet Owl. It was\u00a0not too far off the trail in some overhanging branches and in plain sight.
