Barn Swallow Nest

Something I have been watching for a few weeks has been this Barn Swallow nest.

Some what late in the year,

… or perhaps a second brood.

Great Horned Owl

While I have had distant views of the Great Horned Owl juveniles at Reifel, there have been no real photo opportunities for me. That changed late this afternoon.

At the end of the day as I was starting to make my way back,

… this Great Horned Owl juvenile showed up at the northeast corner of the east dyke trail.

Tree Swallow Nest

Sticking with the nesting theme of the last post,

… I spent a little time watching some active Tree Swallow nesting boxes.
